What we treat
Care for what you’re going through.
From common mental health conditions to more complex or treatment-resistant symptoms, we’ll help you understand your options and find the right path forward.
-
Depression
Persistent low mood, loss of interest, and exhaustion that sleep does not fix. We evaluate it properly and then measure whether treatment is moving the number.
-
Treatment-resistant depression
Depression that has not responded to two or more antidepressants at an adequate dose and duration. This is the situation TMS and Spravato were built for.
-
Anxiety
Constant worry, physical tension, and a nervous system that will not stand down. Often it travels with depression, and treating both together works better than treating one.
-
PTSD
Intrusive memories, hypervigilance, and sleep that never restores. We coordinate medical treatment alongside trauma-focused therapy rather than in place of it.
-
OCD
Unwanted thoughts, urges, or repetitive behaviors that feel difficult to control and interfere with daily life. We help you understand your symptoms and build a treatment plan around how OCD is affecting you.
-
ADHD
Attention and follow-through problems that predate the depression. We test objectively before anyone prescribes anything, because treating the wrong condition costs you months.
A question worth asking
How do you know if your depression is treatment-resistant?
Clinically, depression is called treatment-resistant when at least two antidepressants, each taken at a proper dose for a proper length of time, have failed to give adequate relief. If the following sound familiar, you likely meet the criteria and you have options you have not been offered yet.
- 1
You have taken two or more antidepressants for at least six weeks each, at a real dose, and still feel largely the same.
- 2
Something helped at first and then stopped working, so the dose kept getting raised without much changing.
- 3
The side effects were the reason you stopped, not the depression lifting. Weight, sleep, or libido made the trade not worth it.
- 4
Nobody has ever measured your symptoms with a standardized score, so nobody can actually say whether anything worked.
Common questions
Questions about your condition
If your question is not here, call (916) 800-4363 and a person will answer.
Yes. It is a recognized clinical category, not a way of saying you are difficult to treat. It simply means at least two adequate antidepressant trials have not produced adequate relief, and it is the specific criterion insurance uses to approve TMS and Spravato.
TMS is FDA-cleared to treat depressive episodes and to decrease anxiety symptoms in adults with major depressive disorder who also have anxiety. It is not cleared as a standalone treatment for an anxiety disorder on its own, which is a distinction we will be straight with you about at your consultation.
TMS is FDA-cleared as an add-on treatment for major depressive disorder in adolescents aged 15 to 21. Whether it is appropriate for a specific teenager is a decision a provider makes after a full evaluation, with the family in the room.
Good. Keep seeing them. We treat the medical side and coordinate with your therapist rather than replacing them. If you do not have one, we will refer you to someone who fits what you are working through.
That is the norm, not the exception. Depression frequently sits on top of untreated ADHD, unresolved trauma, or an anxiety disorder. Treating only the surface layer is why so many people cycle through medications without getting anywhere, which is why the evaluation looks at all of it.
Call (916) 800-4363 and we will get you a consultation on the schedule. Our clinic is at 4440 Duckhorn Dr, Suite 420, Sacramento, CA 95834, and we see patients from across the region including Natomas, Roseville, Elk Grove, Citrus Heights, Folsom, and West Sacramento.

The consultation is free and it is a full clinical evaluation. We will tell you honestly whether we can help, and we won’t send you to an out-of-state call center.
